Celebrate the Power of Generosity
The goal for the 2012-2013 Operating Fund campaign is to increase our pledge income by $40,000 (6%). To attain this goal, please Celebrate the Power of Generosity with the pledge suggested in your pledge drive letter. Or, consult our Giving Guide for additional suggestions. For your convenience, you can submit your pledge here.

Celebrate the Power of Generosity with your time, talent, and treasure:
Time
It is your presence — your singing, gratitude, questioning, knowledge, your warmth during coffee hour that enhances the richness of congregational life.
Your loving presence is even more important than your ability to give money. No matter how much of our talent or treasure we might wish to give, sometimes out presence is all we can share. When those times come, your presence and involvement are as valued as ever, and it is good to be part of a community where we already know and love and trust one another.
Talent
Many come together to create religious community. Together we use our skills to do the work of the congregation, deepening our connection to the First Church community and becoming beloved of one another.
Together we build a sacred and successful congregation.
Treasure
We are a self-sustaining congregation, meaning that we get no support from other organizations or the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Various fundraisers that we conduct throughout the year and other minor revenue sources together provide only 25% of our annual revenue. We rely on the generous annual pledges of our members for the remaining 75% of the funds needed to support our church.
Generosity empowers our programs.
We encourage all of our members and friends to be as generous as possible; the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) has outlined fair share giving guidelines based on your income and commitment to the congregation. Your fair share should be somewhere between 3% and 10% of your total income.
